Interdune Boardwalk Trailhead Parking
Parking for the Interdune Boardwalk is located in a large unpaved parking lot, roughly halfway between the visitor center and the end of Dunes Drive.
That being said, the Interdune Boardwalk is one of the most popular trails in White Sands National Park, meaning that the parking lot will typically be full during the peak morning and afternoon hours of the day.

Hiking the Interdune Boardwalk Trail
The entirety of the Interdune Boardwalk is elevated from the sandy surface below, making it the best—and only—trail in White Sands National Park that is accessible to strollers, wheelchairs, and motorized scooters.
At about the halfway point, there’s a small area along the boardwalk to get out of the sun and learn a little about the landscape surrounding the trail.
After about 0.2 miles (0.3 km), the Interdune Boardwalk comes to an abrupt end, where visitors have the opportunity to learn more about the uniqueness that is White Sands National Park, including what it took to protect these beautiful dunes!

It is illegal to leave the trail or sled on the dunes surrounding the Interdune Boardwalk, and visitors have been cited by the National Park Service before for ignoring this rule.
